A hospital president, the CEOs of several nonprofits, and executives from two globally recognized companies are among the 2022 class of the St. Louis Business Journal’s Champions for Diversity & Inclusion Awards.
The Business Journal on Monday unveiled 13 individual honorees, as well as nonprofit and corporate winners, for the program, which celebrates those championing the cause of making St. Louis a more inclusive and equitable place to live and work.
The 2022 honorees represent some of the region’s largest public and private companies, universities and nonprofits. Their roles range from CEOs to vice chancellors and executive directors. Our nonprofit winner this year is the Gateway Region YMCA, which has a multitude of programs and partnerships to tackle diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) issues in our region. Midwest BankCentre, which is among the region’s largest banks, is the for-profit winner in this year’s program. The bank has been instrumental in addressing DEI issues in St. Louis.
You’ll learn about all of the honorees’ DEI work in our special awards section set to be published Sept. 9. A luncheon will be held that same week to celebrate the 2022 honorees.
