Tours and Field Trips

Offered to individuals, schools, and organizations; tours of our farm demonstrate the value of sustainable agriculture to the health of our environment, bodies, and communities.

We look forward to seeing you at EarthDance, but are unable to accommodate drop-in visitors or tours, as we are a working food production farm.

EarthDance Group Tour

Gather your friends, family, or civic group for a group tour of our historic farm in Ferguson! Your visit will include an overview of the farm’s history, an introduction to our hands-on educational, food distribution, and other community programs, and guided walking & (seasonal) tasting tour of our 14 acre non-profit, certified organic farm.

Tours can be scheduled Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Evening tours are available seasonally, based on staff and farm availability.

Tours must be scheduled in advance. To schedule a tour, please fill out our EarthDance Tour & Field Trip Inquiry Form, and a member of our staff will contact you.

If you have confirmed your tour date with an EarthDance contact, please make payment for your tour group here.

  • Pricing: $12/person, minimum of $120 with groups of fewer than 10. We request that organizations and groups who are able to do so pay full price, as your payment supports our mission and work. Please contact dani@earthdancefarms.org if tour cost is prohibitive for your group; no one will be turned away.

One other option for individuals or small groups of 4 or fewer to get a free guided farm tour is to attend a monthly volunteer orientation! No volunteering required! You can sign up to attend one on our Volunteer page.

Field Trips & Youth Tours

Outdoor learning at a farm is a great way for young people to explore the natural environment and learn about food production sustainability. EarthDance hosts field trips April – October.
There’s a $12/person fee (minimum $120 if less than 10 attendees). Available dates and times vary and depend on staff availability, but generally we welcome youth on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 9am – 3pm. Please complete this form to request a field trip or youth tour. A member of our staff will contact you to select a specific day and time. Once you’ve confirmed your date with an EarthDance contact, please make payment for your tour group here.
Generally, youth tours lasts about an hour and consist of looking at and learning about different types of sustainable gardens at EarthDance; rain garden, herb garden, demonstration garden, chicken. Students also tour the production fields and talk about local small scale organic farming and how it differs from big, conventional agriculture. Participants learn about the Pay What You Can Farm Stand and how it aids in food justice. We visit the greenhouse and harvest house so that students get a sense of how the packing process works before the food makes it to restaurants, markets, our Pay What You Can Farm Stand and ultimately the plate.

*Field trip hosts will make every effort to personalize your field trip by incorporating classroom curriculum that students are learning around the time of the field trip as long as that information is provided ahead of time.
