Did you know that when you donate appreciated stock, you may avoid the tax on the gain while deducting 100% of the value of the contribution? That makes stock gifting one of the most tax-advantaged ways to give. And when you donate stock, we get to keep the proceeds that would have gone to pay taxes – it’s a win-win for you and us! And now it’s fast, safe, and free to donate stock to EarthDance Organic Farm School.
We have partnered with DonateStock.com to enable our supporters to make stock donations in 10 minutes or less. By clicking on the DonateStock button below, you can initiate a stock gift from your brokerage through a secure portal in minutes at no cost to you.
Withdrawals from individual retirement accounts typically are subject to federal income taxes. However, IRA account holders can withdraw funds without incurring any income tax liability using a qualified charitable deduction. Starting at age 70 and a 1/2, each year, you can make a tax-free charitable gift from your IRA or certain other pre-tax retirement account. This is known as a qualified charitable distribution or a QCD. CLICK HERE to watch a short video about this way of giving!
A donation made to EarthDance to fund our Go Solar Initiative is eligible for a 50% tax credit from the Missouri Department of Revenue. You can improve the resiliency of our local food system by becoming a member of EarthDance’s ‘Farmhands’ monthly membership program. Becoming a Farmhand will help us continue our pay-what-you-can produce distribution, food donations, farm-based education, and develop other solutions to meet the needs of people in our area. This Fund is dedicated to Oscar Lee, a man who started his own fruit orchard on a sunny hillside in Los Angeles, CA in 1965. The money collected from this fund is reserved for use towards EarthDance’s efforts to maintain their fruit orchard and to use the orchard for the benefit of the community through education, research, and access to local, organic fruit.
A tribute gift is a unique and thoughtful way to celebrate a milestone, remember a loved one, or to honor someone who has made a significant difference in your life or the lives of others. Tributes at various levels include a commemorative plaque in the orchard. Your tax-deductible gift will help us continue our mission to grow food, farmers, and community.
