Zoey Craun completed the Earthdance Summer Apprenticeship and joined the farm team in 2023. She grew up in Rolla, Missouri but moved out west for college and work, pursuing a career in architectural engineering. She has always been interested in food and farming and her love of spending time outside has only grown over the years. During the pandemic in 2021, she decided to move back to Missouri to serve with AmeriCorps St. Louis on various conservation projects around the state. Since then, she’s worked at a farm and bakery in Vermont, worked on a prescribed fire and stewardship crew in southwest Missouri, and most recently spent the summer learning about local food systems and small scale crop production through the apprenticeship. She’s feeling very fulfilled to spend her days growing food or being in the woods, and is looking forward to learning more everyday, improving access to fresh food in the community, and becoming a better steward of the land.
