Margaret Gerker, EarthDance’s Operations Manager, is excited to join a team of folks growing food in St. Louis. While she grew up in Memphis, TN, her parents grew up in St. Louis so Margaret feels a strong bond to the city. She became interested in gardening in college where she founded a garden club that maintained the community garden. After college, she volunteered in Zambia through the Peace Corps where she taught improved gardening techniques, beekeeping, and agroforestry to local Zambian subsistence farmers. Now she is living happily in St. Louis and looks forward to building community and promoting organic agriculture through EarthDance.
