Jo Phillips

Jo Phillips, Harvest and Distribution Manager, joined EarthDance in 2021 as an AmeriCorps VISTA Apprentice and is grateful to continue growing with the farm team. Jo grew up in St. Louis and learned how to grow vegetables, identify trees, and pull honeysuckle from her mother. This curiosity blossomed into a deep love for the outdoors and admiration for the beautifully delicate ecosystems around her. Jo now holds a BA in Intersectional Environmentalism from Webster University. Through her studies and experience farming through WWOOF, she has been able to explore how equitable and sustainable food systems allow healing and resilience to flourish on a personal, communal, and planetary level. Jo believes that community-centric, organically-minded, permacultural food growing operations can and will heal the world, one leaf at a time! In her role, Jo is an integral part of the work of tending to the farm and helping to harvest and distribute fresh organic produce! You can find her at the farm, the Ferguson Farmers Market, and sometimes at the Pay What You Can Farm Stand.
