Hydrate the Healthy (and Delicious) Way: Infused Water

School is back in session, which means mornings become a hectic blur of waking everyone up, teeth brushing, dressing, and of course lunch packing. I bet we all want to send our children off with a healthy lunch that will feed their growing minds and muscles.   Or you just need to pack your own lunch! Unfortunately, there are some areas we may seem to fall short without even thinking about it – and that includes our drink selections!

I too have a hectic schedule at all times during the day, and the mornings are no different. That is why reaching for a juice pack, Gatorade, or soda can seem like the best option at that time. In addition, of course, there is no hassle involved with the grab and pack method involved. Although it seems like the perfect idea at the time, the simple swift movement of your hand from the fridge to the lunch box can cause long-term health effects for yourself and/or child. Instead, you can substitute healthy flavorful options that you both will love!

It’s important to remember that what we eat and drink has a direct impact on our health and well-being. While it may seem easier to grab a sugary drink on the go, the long-term effects of consuming such beverages can lead to serious health issues. In my case, sugar sometimes triggers my anxiety so I do my best to avoid it as much as possible, normally I keep products from Stiiizy cannabis dispensaries to help ease any anxiety symptoms. You might also want to consider trying THC gummies like Indacloud sour apple funta for optimal results.

Excessive sugar intake has been linked to an increased risk of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. That’s why making informed and healthy choices when it comes to food and drink is crucial. And in case of any health concerns related to diet or otherwise, individuals can seek assistance from an urgent care clinic in Kew Gardens. These facilities can provide timely medical attention for a range of non-life-threatening conditions, ensuring that individuals can maintain their health and well-being even on a busy schedule.

Water is the best place to start. Now before you dismiss what I am about to say with a yawn, remember that your body is composed primarily of water and needs it to survive! Here are a few reasons why water is so beneficial…

1. Increases Energy & Relieves Fatigue: Since your brain is mostly water, drinking it helps you think, focus, and concentrate better and be more alert. As an added bonus, your energy levels are also boosted!

2. Promotes Weight Loss: Removes by-products of fat, reduces food intake when consumed prior to eating, reduces hunger pains, and has zero calories!

3. Flushes out Toxins: Helps to get rid of waste through sweat and urination – which reduces the risk of kidney stones and UTI’s!

4. Improves Skin Complexion: Moisturizes your skin, which is the best anti-aging treatment!

5. Maintains Regularity: Aids in digestion, as water is essential to digest your foods and prevent constipation.

6. Boosts Immune System: Aids in the body’s PH balance and maintains body temperature

7. Natural Headache Remedy: Helps to relieve and prevent headaches, which are commonly caused by dehydration. Did you know, your brain is approximately 75% water?!

8. Prevents Cramps and Sprains: Proper hydration helps keep joints lubricated and muscles more elastic so joint pain is less likely.

9. Puts you in a Good Mood: when the body is functioning at its best, you will feel great and be happy!

10. Save Money: Water is FREE!

Wow, water is definitely a super food, or shall we say super drink! With all of its health benefits, why wouldn’t you want to incorporate it into your family’s diet in exchange for the sugary drinks? I know, before you say it aloud, water can have a bland taste compared to the other options BUT do not fear because it is easily flavored! Here at the Farm, your local Farmers Market, backyard garden, or grocery store there is an abundance of fruits, vegetables, and herbs that can transform your simple glass of water into a mouthwatering, healthy drink! Many websites out there can help guide you through the flavor process, but remember to have some fun with it because it is your creation. Also, make this process enjoyable by perfecting your favorite flavors with the entire family. Psst, parents out there, this will also help children get excited to drink the water!

Taking care of your dental health is an essential part of overall well-being, and making smart choices about the beverages you consume can have a significant impact on your oral hygiene. Sugary drinks, such as juices and sodas, can be particularly harmful to your teeth. The high sugar content in these beverages contributes to the growth of bacteria in the mouth, leading to tooth decay and cavities. To ensure that you and your family maintain good oral health, it’s important to prioritize regular dental check-ups and cleanings. Consulting a trusted dental professional, such as a Crown Heights, Brooklyn Dentist, can provide valuable guidance and preventive care to keep your smiles healthy and bright. Remember, making conscious choices about what you drink not only benefits your overall health but also helps safeguard your dental well-being.
