Change is on the horizon at EarthDance…

Each year I have been a part of EarthDance – first as an apprentice in 2010, and as Farm Manager in 2011 & 2012 – I’ve seen this organization and our farming operation grow and improve. I know, without a doubt, that 2013 will be the best year yet.  EarthDance now owns the farm, we will have drip irrigation, we are running a donation campaign for a new tractor, and we are rightsizing the operation further to best steward the land.

Many of you in our EarthDance community know that moving back to Colorado has been the long term goal of mine. Some personal factors have aligned, and my partner Howard and I feel that the time to make that move is now. Therefore, I will not be signing a new contract with EarthDance. However, I will be staying on for the next five weeks to help transition the new farm manager.

This experience has taught me so much about farming, myself, and the power of community.  At the Mueller Farm we cultivate not only the ground but also friendships that last a lifetime.  I learned about my personal strength and determination, the grace in acceptance and surrender, and about the hope and faith that is farming.

I would like to thank each and every one of you for the support and advice you have given me along the way.
