Terry’s journey with EarthDance began in 2019 with a rather innocent web search. Looking to volunteer, explore a new hobby, and build new friendships, he directed that search toward gardening and farming after recalling fond memories of his late grandparents’ magical yet pristine terraced back garden in Florissant. Since his first Saturday volunteer shift, Terry began to feel the sense of stewardship, responsibility, spirituality, and satisfaction that comes with working and caring for the land. He is incredibly grateful to work alongside the amazing staff and enthusiastic volunteers and treasures every moment spent on these 14 acres.
Terry works in risk management and internal audit services for Armanino LLP (formerly Brown Smith Wallace) and is currently working on his Certified Internal Auditor license, to be followed by his CPA license. He has been assigned to the firm’s first ESG (Environmental, Social, & Corporate Governance) engagement, one of the firm’s first DEI (Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion) engagements, and seeks to become a specialist in those areas. He holds two bachelor’s degrees from UMSL (2009, 2021). Terry is a St. Louis native. In his free time, he loves staying active and outdoors—running, cycling, climbing, hiking—and enjoys finding new and unique perspectives on everyday life via aerial photography.
