Happy June! We happily welcome the arrival of summertime on the farm: elderflower in bloom, so many ripe berries, and the season’s first carrot harvest. This is also a month for celebrating freedom. We wish you all a happy Juneteenth and Pride Month!

The regenerative farming practices that we employ on this land demonstrate to us again and again the role of biodiversity and inclusivity in creating healthy lives for all beings on and off the farm. If you relish in your relationship to nature being free, messy, undefined – consider exploring the topic of queer ecology: a framework for understanding how we might encounter queerness in nature (here’s a recommended reading list too!).
It is a year-round pleasure to sit with the bounty of queer offerings in nature. The regenerative farming practices that we employ on this land demonstrate to us again and again the role of biodiversity and inclusivity in creating healthy lives for all beings on and off the farm.
And, we underscore that the first Pride was a riot led by black & brown, queer & trans activists like Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, and Stormé DeLarverie. Through protest and celebration, EarthDance strives to be a space for trans joy – in this month of Pride, and always.
