Meet our Summer Field Interns!

Alice & Caitlin

Meet our field interns for the summer! This is the first year we’ve had field interns at the farm, so we’ve been fortunate this season to have two wonderful additions at the farm.

Alice Hintermann: Summer Field Intern
Alice hails from Cambridge, MA. She is a Washington University senior majoring in Anthropology and minoring in film.  She can often be found cooking, traveling or reading a Bill Bryson book. As a WWOOFer, Alice spent a year traveling around New Zealand working on farms. She’s passionate about local organic food because, “It allows me to re-establish a connection to where my food comes from.”

Caitlin Zera: Summer Field Intern
Caitin is a hometown St. Louisan! She is a senior at Webster University majoring in Documentary Film and minoring in Sustainability Studies. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels, poetry and cooking her bountiful CSA share. Recently, Caitlin made a documentary on the Jones Typewriter Company.  “Years ago, my mom would read me the children’s book Fanny at Chez Panisse, and that planted the seed that there was something more to growing food than taste. It’s about relationships with the community and the earth.”
