June 10th—Preserving the Harvest with Simple Preservation Methods Register
This class will teach participants simple homesteading skills of drying, freezing, pickling and fermenting fresh produce. Attendees will receive recipes and handouts to further their learning.
June 17th – Summer Solstice Potluck (no class)
June 24th—Preserving the Harvest (Canning) Register
This class, led by Linda Rellengart of the LU Agricultural Extension Service will cover the fundamentals of safe home canning. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on demonstration of canning techniques.
