Sara Fitzpatrick Started “The Falcon Garden” in 2014 at Halls Ferry Elementary which now features 8 garden beds. Fitzpatrick says, “At first I was trying to use the garden as my science curriculum to teach life cycles, plants, how things grow. Now I’m seeing it permeate through every subject area.” Sarah’s students have come to love some of the unusual produce they grow, including nasturtiums (an edible flower). Sara now motivates the kids’ good behavior with the promise of nasturtium parties!
