Reggae Singleton grows in her yard and several vacant lots in The Ville, in north St. Louis City. She grows food for her family and neighbors, sometimes selling the surplus. Says Reggae, “This year, we transitioned to eating something we have grown in every meal, even breakfast. I had wished to be at this point long ago. But I am grateful that we made it. We have also been able to repeatedly offer food to four other families! I am pleased to be a sustaining member of a small community. We do a harvest share every week or every other week depending on whats out there.”
