Dave Blum

It seems as though David Blum woke up one day and said, ‘I’m going to be a farmer.’ Blum had no farm or gardening experience and was previously working in industrial design and was a part of the crew that built the City Museum. Blum and his wife Amber purchased an 88-acre homestead in Missouri and attempted to learn how to farm from scratch and gather as much information as possible from seed distributors and others in the industry before he discovered the EarthDance Apprenticeship Program. David, who had never even grown a houseplant now has a mixed vegetable and livestock operation artfully dubbed Such and Such Farm. The Blums grow produce for chefs and restaurants in the St. Louis area and the food waste from these and other restaurants feed their goats, chickens, and pigs.
