March Madness, EarthDance Style: Brackets for Good

Love March Madness or know someone who does? Well, here’s your chance to put those bracketing skills and excitement for the game towards a great cause!  EarthDance is excited to announce that we are participating in Brackets for Good St. Louis.

Brackets for Good was born in Indianapolis on April 4, 2011. Starting in 2012, every March, Brackets for Good hosts a single-elimination, bracket-style fundraising tournament that raises much-needed funds and awareness for nonprofit organizations of all sizes. Since its inception, Brackets for Good has spread to 5 cities and raised over $800,000 for participating non-profits. Organizations, such as EarthDance, participate at no cost and retain 100% of the donations raised during the tournament. The St. Louis tournament champion will also win a grand prize of $10,000 from title sponsor, the Youthbridge Foundation.

EarthDance was one of 64 local nonprofits selected to participate in St. Louis’ first ever Brackets for Good Tournament. And like the college basketball tournament, EarthDance and other nonprofits will be paired in a competitive match-up, and advance through six rounds over the course of five weeks beginning the last Friday in February and ending on the first Friday in April.

Help EarthDance advance by scoring more points that our opponents. Every $1 donated through bfg.org equals 1 point scored. At the end of the round, whomever has the most points will advance to the next round, the points are reset, and fundraising continues.  So whether you love sports or just love your community, check out Brackets for Good and see how the excitement began and continues to support nonprofits like EarthDance.

Join us, starting February 26th at 8:00, as we tip off against Camp Jump Start of the Living Well Foundation and race for that $10,000 prize!
