Join EarthDance for MOSES Conference—FREE Transportation!

by Kaitie Adams on January 19, 2018

This February, learn from top farmers and connect to your fellow local growers during a visit to the MOSES Organic Farming Conference. Get on the bus and grow the organic farming movement in St. Louis and beyond.

Who: Join EarthDance Organic Farm School staff and a delegation of your fellow farmers at the 2018 MOSES Conference, Feb 22-24!

What: EarthDance will charter a bus to travel for FREE with farmers from 10-15+ local farms to attend the conference and visit innovative organic farms along the route. This opportunity was made possible by support from the Missouri Specialty Crop Block grant program.

The MOSES (Midwest Organic & Sustainable Education Service) conference is the largest event in the U.S. about organic and sustainable farming, offering 66 workshops over 6 sessions, inspiring keynotes, engaging roundtables, and a resource-packed Exhibit Hall with over 170 vendors. The event is preceded by Organic University full-day courses that dig deeper into a specific farming topic. For lots more info, check out the MOSES conference website. Further details below, as well.

When: The charter bus will depart St. Louis on the morning of Wednesday February 21st (specific mtg time and location will be announced) and return the evening of Sunday, February 25th.

Where: LaCrosse, Wisconsin

Why: EarthDance wants the organic farming movement to prosper in the St. Louis region! We see a need for opportunities for local farmers to learn from some of the nation’s most successful organic producers and gain inspiration from the flourishing farming community of the upper-midwest region. Make 2018 your power year on the farm!

How: Complete our interest form here by January 19th.  Please note that the form confirms your interest in participating in the bus delegation; it does not guarantee a spot.  We hope to accommodate all interested farmers, but space is limited. We will let you know the status of your request by Friday, February 2nd. We will seek to assemble a diverse group of specialty crop growers for this opportunity; specialty crops are defined as “fruits, vegetables, tree nuts, dried fruits, horticulture, and nursery crops (including floriculture).”
