Be an EarthDance Advocate: Introduce your network to EarthDance with a tour!

Do you work for a company, attend or have a child in school, or belong to a congregation? We thought so. Encourage them to come out for a tour of the farm! This is a wonderful opportunity to get out of the office or take a field trip. We’re happy to cater the tour to the needs or your organization. Exposure is key! How many people eat produce every day yet have never seen where food comes from?

Spring Volunteer Day at the Farm.

If this weekend was any indication, spring is most definitely upon us. Let’s celebrate by being outside. On April 27th we’ll be having Spring Community Day at the Farm. We’ll get the day started by offering a free farm tour followed by some time in the field. Hopefully we’ll be transplanting tomatoes that weekend! Stay for a snack break and participate in a farm beautification project. It will be the perfect way to welcome in spring amongst good company.

9:00-9:45 Farm Tour
10:00- 11:30 Farm project (ex: transplanting tomatoes)
11:30-12:00 Snack Break
12:00- 2:00 Farm Beautification (ex: clearing honeysuckle)

Can’t make it on the 27th or want to know how you can do more? Here’s 2 ways to volunteer with EarthDance.

1. When’s the last time someone asked you to go on a treasure hunt? It may have been a while. Well here at the farm we’ve got endless gems hidden amongst our old sheds and barns. Come help us pull out old farm implements and antique tools. The history of this farm is so rich!  As soon as we start organizing all the treasure that has been left behind we can start bringing its history to life.

Or

2. Amidst the treasures we’re trying to set aside for later re-use, we also need help filling up our dumpster with the stuff we’re willing to part ways with.  Forget your workout for a day and put those muscles to good use on the farm.
